It's not that difficult to find oil suitable for body care

Using oil for facial skin care is quite controversial while it's not that difficult to find oil suitable for body care. The effect of vegetable oils as products of natural cosmetics differs as it does when using those oils for preparation of food. Everything depends on the spectrum of fatty acids. An important criterion is how quickly a product penetrates the skin.

Oils which contain more than 50% of polyunsaturated fatty acids are absorbed into the skin easily and very quickly. They are called moisturizing oils. Nourishing oils have less than 20% of polyunsaturated fatty acids and penetrate the skin very slowly. They are most suitable for the dry and tired skin as well as for massage since their shelf life is longer. This group includes olive oil, peanut oil, avocado oil, almond oil, macadamia oil, and coconut oil.

Choose the right body oil for your body type

For dry and aging skin apricot kernel oil, argan oil, avocado oil, rosehip oil and wheat sprout oil are recommended. For sensitive skin and skin prone to allergies try apricot kernel oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, hemp oil, sunflower oil, tea seed oil, and black cumin oil. They are said to not only moisturize and nourish skin but also sooth it. Jojoba and rosehip oils are recommended for oily skin.

One of the most versatile oils is buckthorn oil, which you can use not just for yourself (it heals damaged skin, gives a natural tan, thus, it can perfectly replace self-tan creams) but for your baby as well to treat heat rash. Almond oil is also suitable for the care of baby's skin. Hair will benefit from masks of olive oil and coconut oil. Those who tried out the latter said it helps to defeat dandruff much better than any anti-dandruff shampoo.

Additionally, coconut oil has a cooling effect. Shea oil is great for cracked lips, callous and horny skin on hands, elbows, and feet. Nails will love olive oil, especially if you use it for food, too.
